We offer Student Training for NVQ Level 2 in Horse Care. We also run daytime courses for BHS Stages I, II & III and evening courses for BHS Stages I & II. (See details below)
Student Training for NVQ Level 2
Days & Hours worked
* 5 days per week including 1 weekend day and 1 late session
* Students receive £80 per week training wage
*Total of 40 hours per week on the yard
* Extra hours are available to students who wish to earn extra, paid at N.M.W.
Details of training for both BHS and NVQ
* 3 ridden sessions, includes flat work, jumping lessons and hacking
* 3 lecture sessions covering all aspects of curriculum/syllabus.
Further training is available towards Stage III & IV & PTT for full time staff
Accommodation
* In purpose built block

BHS Stage I Daytime Course - date of next course - please call for full details
This course is run as a 16 week course on Tuesday mornings, with a 45 minute ridden session and a 45 minute lecture each week, starting at 9.30am, there is no attendance during school holidays. A Stage I examination is scheduled for just after the end of the course for those students wishing to take their exam in familiar surroundings. The cost of the training is just £30 per week, payments are broken down as follows: Deposit £240.00 (please note this is not refundable for any reason) Weeks 1 - 8 £30.00 per week, weeks 9 - 16 free of charge.
BHS Stage II Daytime Course - date of next course - please call for details
This course is run as a 26 week course on a Tuesday morning commencing at 11.30am with a 45 minute lecture and a 45 minute ridden session every week, covering all aspects of the syllabus. The cost of the course works out to just £30 per week for riding and care, payments are broken down as follows: Deposit £240 (please note this deposit is not refundable for any reason) weeks 1 - 18 weeks £30 per week, weeks 19 - 26 free of charge.
BHS Stage III Daytime Course - date of next course - please call for details
This course is run as a 28 week course on a Wednesday morning commencing at 9.30am with a 45 minute lecture and a 45 minute ridden session every week, covering all aspects of the syllabus. The cost of the course works out to just £30 per week for riding and care, payments are broken down as follows: Deposit £240 (please note this deposit is not refundable for any reason) £30 per weeks 1 - 20 £30 per week, weeks 21 - 28 free of charge.

BHS Stage I Evening Course - date of next course - please call for details
This course is run as a 9 week course on a Thursday evening commencing at 8.30pm with a 45 minute lecture and a 45 minute ridden session every week, covering all aspects of the syllabus. The cost of the course is £324.00 payments are 50% as a deposit (please note this is not refundable for any reason) and the final payment due on the first evening of the course. This course can also be booked as 'Care' only for £126.00 or 'Riding' only for £198.00 We provide an optional revision session for the 'care' section on the 10th week for an additional £28.00
BHS Stage II Evening Course - date of next course - please call for details
This course is run as a 13 week course on a Thursday evening commencing at 8.30pm with a 45 minute lecture and a 45 minute ridden session every week, covering all aspects of the syllabus. The cost of the course is £468.00 payments are 50% as a deposit (please note this is not refundable for any reason) and the final payment due on the first evening of the course. This course can also be booked as 'Care' only for £182.00 or 'Riding' only for £286.00 We provide an additional jumping session on the 14th week for an additional £27.00 at 7.30pm plus a double care revision session from 8.30pm for an additional £28.00
